Chairman, NDDB & Assam Cooperation Minister attends 1^st Board Meeting of JV Company North East Dairy and Foods Limited

08 February, 2023, Anand: The first Board Meeting of North East Dairy and Foods Ltd, a JV between NDDB and Govt of Assam was held in Guwahati on 8^th February 2023 under the Chairmanship of Smt. Nandita Gorlosa, Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation, Govt of Assam. Shri Meenesh Shah, Chairman, NDDB and other Board members from Assam Govt and NDDB attended.

 While presenting the Company’s certificate of incorporation to the Hon’ble Minister, Chairman, NDDB said, “In line with the vision of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon’ble CM of Assam, the company will implement dairy development plans for self-reliance & sustainable livelihood in Assam.”

 The Board Members deliberated on kickstarting the operations and implementing a comprehensive dairy development programme - Assam Dairy Development Plan (ADDP) in mission mode.

 The new company formed as a joint venture between Govt of Assam and NDDB with equal share capital contribution was incorporated on 17^th January 2023. The registered office is at the premises of West Assam Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union Ltd. (WAMUL).
